With legalization of recreational marijuana looming, this is something that’s going to become a reality and a lot of critiques are saying that we aren’t quite ready yet–and there are so many unanswered questions. Specifically, there are a lot of questions about crossing the border.

Kyla: “I’m really worried about recreational users of legal cannabis. I think the people who take the risk to work in the cannabis industry, even though it’s going to be legal in Canada, sort of understand the implications that go along with that. But for people who pop down to their local cannabis store, and purchase a couple joints to enjoy socially at home, and the go to the border and find that their credit card records or their purchase history has been used against them to deny them entry. I think al lot of people aren’t aware that’s a potential consequence and that they could be subject to that.”
