Families of the people killed or injured in Humboldt Broncos bus crash will continue telling their stories in court today. Jaskirat Singh Sidhu drove the semi and hit the bus last April. The Alberta man has pleaded guilty to 16 counts of dangerous driving causing death and another 13 charges causing bodily harm.

So based on what we know so far about this case, what sentencing outcomes are most likely?
Kyla Lee: “I think jail is inevitable in a case like this. The sentencing range for dangerous driving causing bodily harm or dangerous driving causing death is very broad. There is no mandatory minimum sentence but the general pattern of sentencing across the country is jail for first time offences.”
