Aasheesh Puri

AK started working with Acumen Law in 2022. Prior to working with Acumen, he articled at a boutique Criminal Defence law firm in Northern Manitoba in 2021. As part of his articles, he travelled throughout Manitoba to circuit court locations where he represented Indigenous Peoples. In doing so, AK gained extensive experience in criminal law.

AK is passionate about criminal defence. He believes in helping people navigate through the complicated criminal justice system by representing them and assisting them in finding a strong defence. AK possesses expertise in seizures and forfeiture of property by the police, including Section 490 applications and civil forfeitures. He has successfully protected clients’ interest at early investigation stage. AK is able to provide services in Punjabi and Hindi for better assistance to his clients. He is also licensed to practice in Yukon. Outside of the office, AK enjoys spending his free time working out, hiking and listening to music.
