Kyla Lee of Acumen Law was interviewed in the Lynda Steele Show and talked about golfing and cannabis. She also shared her thoughts on the federal government going ahead with the roadside marijuana test.

“I think the reason that smoking is allowed on golf courses is largely due to the fact that you are so far away from any structures when you are out there actually playing the game. A lot of the municipal and provincial rules in relation to smoking have to do with proximity to building, with proximity to places where large groups of people would congregate, and you don’t have that on a gold course.”

“The police officers that I have talked to about this device, since the government announced their intention to approve it, have been really reluctant to use something like the Drager Drug Test 5000 because of the amount of time it takes to collect the sample and analyze it and the concerns about the functionality of the device.”
