“I was asked to come here to talk about whether we should fear drug-impaired drivers and in particular, some changes that are coming down the pipes to drug-impaired driving laws in Canada. But what’s really interesting about the changes to the drug-impaired driving laws that we have is that they start with changes to alcohol-impaired driving and I found that fascinating. When the federal government introduced bill C-46 which is a companion bill to C-45 which legalizes cannabis, they created a whole ton of changes to the alcohol regime that we have had in this country.”
