“This is the worst I’ve ever seen, I couldn’t believe it, 234 km/h on the Lion’s Gate bridge, this is dangerous driving…you can get a dangerous charge for speeding”
“Speeds like this, you know, you put everybody at risk on the road, there’s no way it can be done safely and it’s of course far beyond the excessive speeding of 40 to 60km above, this is criminal dangerous driving in my view”
“The penalty range, probably, for something like this, say if they could charge him with dangerous driving, he’d end up with a criminal record, a mandatory minimum 1 year driving prohibition, probably longer than that. It wouldn’t surprise me in a case like this for a judge even to send a first time offender to jail for a week, because of just how serious this is and how dangerous it is”
“Tickets are effective, we know that they’re effective, the question that seems to be on social media these days is whether the ticket amounts are enough”
It’s unbelievable, there’s something suspicious about this to me, who lets a 13-year old take a car?
Somebody shows up at your house and you’ve got a Lamborghini listed for sale, are you going to let them drive it without looking at their license, are you going to let them drive without you sitting in the passenger seat, are you going to let them drive it at all?
“I don’t know what they’re necessarily going to charge him with, driving without a driver’s license? I don’t know that you can charge him with driving without due consideration just because there was an accident, nobody observed the accident. I suspect it’s just Motor Vehicle Act charges, so no big deal in the end for the 13-year old “
