Vancouver is the latest police force to pass on the only federally approved marijuana roadside testing device. Like many other municipalities, they will be testing it out but not using it on the road.

“As of October 17th, the results of those tests will be presumptive proof of impairment as long as the officer identifies what the drug is, and that that drug shows up in a blood or urine test regardless of concentration and that should be good enough to secure a conviction and in fact it essentially shifts a burden to the defense.”
