Shora Amini​

Shora Amini joined Acumen Law as an associate in 2022. She practices in the area of 

driving, criminal and administrative litigation.

Understanding and approachable, Shora is able to communicate effectively and draft persuasive arguments which enables her to represent clients diligently, with a view to finding just and favourable outcomes to their legal matters.

Prior to joining Acumen Law, Shora articled at a general civil litigation firm in Langley, BC, where she gained valuable knowledge of court procedure and assisted clients in a range of litigation disputes.

Shora obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University where she majored in Criminology. She holds a Juris Doctorate degree with distinction from Bond University, Australia. During law school, Shora worked as a student clinician at the Gold Coast Community Legal Centre, where she was able to assist low-income clients on a variety of legal matters. She was called to the British Columbia bar in 2022.

Shora grew up in Coquitlam, British Columbia and shares a deep appreciation for the place she is fortunate enough to call home. Outside of the office she enjoys watching films, being out in nature and spending quality time with her family and friends. She is fluent in Farsi and Kurdish.
