Yi Le Lu

Yi Le Lu joined Acumen Law as an associate lawyer in July 2021 after completing her articles with a prominent criminal defence lawyer. She practices driving and criminal law, and routinely assists with immediate roadside prohibition and administrative driving prohibition cases.

Yi Le earned her law degree from the University of Victoria, Faculty of Law and her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from the University of British Columbia. While in law school, she completed temporary articles at the Law Centre and the Department of Justice. She also volunteered for Pro Bono Students Canada, Access Pro Bono Residential Tenancy Branch, and the UVic Environmental Law Clinic. Yi Le also received the Prosecution Service of British Columbia bursary for her demonstrated interest in criminal law. She is past Co-President of the UVic Pan-Asian Law Society and a member of the Criminal Defence Advocacy Society.

Yi Le is fluent in English and Shanghainese, and conversational in Mandarin and Cantonese.
